I updated 2.0.19 to 2.1.2 with large updater. Everything went +- smoothly (some timeout errors blinked several times).
After that, everything seemed to work okay, I also ran all 'checkers' and there were few missing attachments and few attachments with missing posts. Currently when I run action=admin;area=manageattachments;sa=maintenance, the check reports no errors.

But, in the error log, I see several logs of this type:

How is this possible? All of the errors have type=avatar.

This is a bug that we are aware of, and it will be fixed in the upcoming version.

Thanks! Just to be sure - fixed in a way that the errors won't be reported or fixed in a way that I'd have to dig the missing files from backups?

And you should no longer need the files. No need to go digging through backups.

The problem appears to happen when crawlers are looking for certain files that no longer exist.
