I have always liked the Prosilver theme on PHPBB it just looks nice.

What you have done here TwitchisMental is like you have said created a baby!! a baby that can mature into a full smf adult in time.

Any idea why this isn't centralized at the bottom mate?

Humm that is odd.. I first thought maybe the copyright added by the mod, but I tried it and no issue. I do notice that you are missing terms and rules.. and the web link on the left. Did you remove this?

Do you have a link this site?

This sounds like it could be more than a theme issue at this point. I would suggest making a new thread in the SMF 2.1.x Support section.

Do you have a forum title actually set by chance?

If not, I bet that is causing the other issue.

Hi Twitch,

I like this theme as phpBB was the first forum software I ever used.

I am having an issue with EHPortal but not sure why.

On my test site here (https://www.davejohnson.co.uk/testing/) I installed the theme and then set it as default. The theme looked OK but wasn't showing the 'Home' page link in the menu which takes you to the portal page. So thinking it was because I had installed the theme after the install of the portal I uninstalled the portal and then re-installed it again.

But still the 'Home' menu button is not showing. It shows on other themes but not this one. It's worth noting that you can see the portal but only if you click on the forum logo.

I have set it so guests are allowed to view the site temporarily so you can see what I mean. If you want to sign up, to see more, let me know as registration is set to disabled.

NOTE: If you want to quickly change between themes use the portal 'Theme Select' drop box on the left side to toggle between them.

Regards

Dave

Ah, this is an unforseen issue.

Easy Solution though -

Open index.css in your favorite editor.

Find line 4539 -
.main_menu, .button_home {
    display: none !important;
}

Just delete that completely and you should be good to go :) .

I really love this theme but I have one problem with it that I have no idea how to solve and I'm hoping you can help me. Instead of the Home button saying Forum, it has my website name — Verla Kay Creations — and this is very confusing. How can this be changed to the single word, Forum?

Thank you!

That link is actually not part of the menu ---    it's part of the linktree (aka breadcrumbs)
Apparently, this theme does not have the "home" menu item

so, it defaults to the forum name

the normal "home" button in the menu is actually hidden in this theme, by CSS
Code ("In index.css for this theme") Select
.main_menu, .button_home {
    display: none !important;
}

comment out (put /* ....   */ around it)
or delete these lines to put the home button back.

@TwitchisMental

You've made an interesting theme combination with SMF and phpBB. Good job!

Take a look at the Prosilver Dark Edition (https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/style/prosilver_dark/) theme, it looks great, I'm curious what the Curve theme would look like in that color. If you created Curve in this color, it would be great.

Most of those colors are set via body. Open index.css

body {
 font: 75.50%/120% Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
 color: rgb(83, 100, 130);
 background-color: RGB(245, 247, 250);
 display: flex;
 flex-direction: column;
 min-height: 100vh;
 padding: 12px 0px;
}

Change color to

color: rgb(0,0,0);

All modifications with moving of the poster avatars from right to left and text colour modifications worked just perfectly - thanks again!

Now I have a question on modification of the forum logo. When I add a custom image of a certain size, the text (which is the name of my forum which acts as a hyperlink) disappears and I can see image only. Of course, I have to preload these images to the forum directory via cPanel.

I have another image which I made as a combination of the first image and text for my forum name, but when I insert it, it is not showing, but the hyperlink forum name is showing.

Is this something to do with size limitation of the image?

Also, how do I leave a review of your theme (I want to make it a glowing one :)).

Thanks again!

The easiest way to replace the logo is replacing the file in theme directory/custom/logo.png.  Just make the name your logo replacement logo.png and drop it in replacing the old one.

The image will also link to your forum like normal.

As far as a height limit, it should expand with your logo.. If not a min-height will need to be added to the header most likely.

1. That would require a bit of editing to make it be in the center.
2. If you wanted to do that, it would require a bit of editing aswell.
3. Yes in index.css

Find

#header {
    background: rgb(85, 126, 160);
    box-shadow: 0 16px 20px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.25) inset;
padding: 2px 2px 12px 2px;
display: flex;
align-items: flex-end;
width: 100%;
border-radius: 7px;
}

Change background to whatever you would like.

For now, I've created a larger image which includes the name of the forum and the logo on the left, and managed to insert it. Looks ok, knocking on wood :)). As I mature in my skillset, I will try to evolve the looks of the forum heading.

Now off to deploying some embed mods :).

Howdy Twitch,

Love this theme and use it here (https://vsido.org/index.php) and noticed in the release that you made a gray version available but I cannot seem to find the settings for that.

I also wonder if you have ever considered a dark version of it? I have changed colors before these 2.14 themes and still can find my way around but some of it is difficult for me to sort out.. Anyway, great theme and thank you!

It is a variant so it can be selected by going to UCP > Look and Layout > Change Theme, Beside the Procurve choice should be a drop down with the normal and gray version.

I just checked and have version 1.03 that is why I am not seeing it.. I will download it and reinstall it, is there any way to just update it without losing changes? I did download and reinstalled it but it had a site level error and I have to completely reinstall it ... The error was that the directory was not empty and could not be renamed

I have completely removed it and reinstalled and verified I have version 1.4 but I still do not see a gray variant or choice for it.

To be sure, it is supposed to be under User Control Panel / Look and Layout / Change Theme

This is what I see there and there is no choice

I just checked and have version 1.03 that is why I am not seeing it.. I will download it and reinstall it, is there any way to just update it without losing changes? I did download and reinstalled it but it had a site level error and I have to completely reinstall it ... The error was that the directory was not empty and could not be renamed

2: rename(/home/vaston5/public_html/Themes/temp,/home/vaston5/public_html/Themes/ProCurve): Directory not empty

I have completely removed it and reinstalled and verified I have version 1.4 but I still do not see a gray variant or choice for it.

To be sure, it is supposed to be under User Control Panel / Look and Layout / Change Theme

This is what I see there and there is no choice

It is possible that you have variant selection disabled.

Go to ACP > Configuration > Themes & Layout > Current Theme > Make sure Disable user variant selection is not checked.

I don't see anything in that section either.. I am going to completely remove the theme and  remove all the files and then reinstall it

Just downloaded it from the Custy site just to be sure.. everything is correct in the package.

A full removal of the theme and upload of a fresh package would be the best solution.

Wow. In the words of The Grateful Dead, What a long strange trip it's been.. I deleted the entire directory and reinstalled and finally was able to see the 1.4 version. What was weird is that within smf it was showing that I had 1.4 installed but the xml file kept stating 1.3 and in fact that was what I was running.. Anyway, I installed 1.4 and when I opened index.css and saw immediately the :root { section and all of the colors layout I knew it was going to be easy.. I worked it all out this afternoon and now my site at vsido.org (https://vsido.org/index.php) looks exactly how I want it to look

Thank you for this incredible theme

Hey Twitch,

I have gone back to ProCurve on VSIDO and tweaked it to near perfection (or just how I want it  ;D ).. I do have a couple of questions.. I really like the Enable of the Footer menu from the GreyedOut theme, is it possible to incorporate that in this one?

Second, there is a strange "> on the bottom left of every page that is part of the inner wrap of the footer section.. Attached is an image of it. It just looks out of place, although it is just a link back to vsido.org ..

Admin CP > Maintenance > Server Settings > General > Forum Title

Set a title and you should be good to go. I will need to fix that though.. as it shouldn't do that.

As far as the footer links that is a custom theme setting for GreyedOut.

I have a Forum Title already setup there in Admin CP > Maintenance > Server Settings > General > Forum Title.. I tried removing it and resetting it but it changed nothing ... Cheers

Okay try the version I have uploaded now.

Just upload the index.template.php and replace your old one so you do not lose your changes.

I will have to look into this further later.

Edit: Okay fully fixed version uploaded lol.
