Title: In Large Upgrade, I have lost all packages
Post by: Baloch on December 29, 2022, 07:08:27 AM
Hello there,

Today I have upgraded my smf forum from 1.1.18 to 1.1.19 but I have lost all packages specially simple portal data.
Please advice what to do to resume my packages with data.

Looking forward for your prompt response
With thanks and regards
Raji

I would suggest to restore the backup that you made prior to updating?

Was it a manual upgrade? A manual upgrade, when all files are overwritten with those from the large upgrade package, uninstalls all mods. The mod packages should still be listed in the Package Manager.

Your mod DATA is not gone.   the upgrade does not erase mod data, but (if you used the "large upgrade", then it did replace the forum files, which means that all mods are removed - especially in the 1.1.x branch installs.

However, the more critical question is: Why are you upgrading to 1.1.19?   You should be upgrading directly to 2.1.3 -- because 1.1.x has been end of life for YEARS now - it has not actual support, and it has KNOWN security issues which require an update to a modern version to fix.
