Title: create a topic with a "no reply " option

Is there an setting to create a topic with a "no reply " option.

I want to create temporary sticky topics with event info that would benefit from having no further comments added

The absolutely easiest way is to lock the topics.

note that mods and admins will still have the ability to respond.
