Hi,
I've installed the Battle mod and Gallery pro mod, however the font awesome icons do not render for some reason.
I want to change these fontawesome icons with one of my choosing but I cannot find where to change this.
I can make the change in the Dev Console fine, just no clue where this is set for each menu item in the php or scripts.

Which theme are you using? Might be best to ask in the support thread for that theme.
As Arantor says -- this is a theme issue. Specifically, the CSS for that theme's menu objects.
