Updated it quite a bit, but still 5 pages of themes to go (It takes so long...). There seems to be a distinct lack of dark multi column themes.
Sticky maybe?

I think this can used yes. Possibly a sticky in the themes board..kind of natural to have it there. If we somehow could have the thumbnails too it would be great..or just tiny thumbs, like 50x50 in size.

No, there aren't many dark and multi columns no. Neptune theme...but its not dark, more midtone. :)

Anyway, good work on this.

A Multi Colour catagory might be useful for Helios Multi and Sitra for example.

you re right bloc.. but you can't say here at smf 's are much themes if you compare it with other forum software..

and you guys could perhaps moderate the themes department a little bit more clearly.. now i find themes everywhere

but it doesnt bother me because SMF rulez  ;)

But you have to keep in mind that SMF is the new kid on the block.  SMF has been out for about 2 years and it's fairly new compared to the competition. ;)

Its 2 factors that make themes a little "slower" to emerge for SMF: 1.) SMF is new, as jay says..and 2.) they are somewhat harder to make (if you go for more than color-changes) , becuase of the php among html.

But thats not to say thats negative..quite contrary , I think some themes would not be made at all in other systems. ;)

As for themes all over..we now have a board with JUST themes, thats better than themes among other threads. What needs to be done now is more ordering..after version, type(broadly speaking) , color etc. We will try to come up with some overview schemes to make it easier..but for now at least you know where all the themes are.  8)

Yes you can, vBulletin doesn't have very much good free themes, same with IB, MyTopix and a few others.
Anyway if your talking about phpBB most of them are crap in my opinion :P

EDIT: And we have around 135 themes...
