Title: Override inline style
Post by: Sir Osis of Liver on October 13, 2023, 11:55:09 PM
Trying to override inline css using <head><style>.  Some things work, others don't.  If you look at this (https://www.thekrashsite.com/smf20/) on pc there is a logo followed by two rotating ad banners in iframe above forum.  If you collapse the browser window right to left, at some point it changes to one ad banner below the logo.  This is how it's displayed on mobile, but the ad banner is too large.  The css is inline, can't get to it, but there's some css for the iframe in <head> in index.template.php.  Inspector shows inline .unslider img {width: 100%;}, if you change it to 40% image is smaller, but putting this in <head><style> has no effect -

 .unslider img {
      width: 40% !important;
 }

Any way to do this?

I'll take a look but, dude, what the hell is going on over there? There are like 50 network requests per second and the console is full of stuff.

The forum is running in a subdir of a WP install, which is a hairball.  Server error_log is currently 344mb (2,258,075 errors), that's since 14 July (3 months).  Nothing I can do about that, the main website is handled by a paid dev and not my concern.  The ad scroller is some js freeware he found somewhere, Ghostery doesn't like it and blocks the js files, possibly they contain malware.  The logo and ad banners above the forum are loaded from the website into an iframe, the dev scabbed the code onto index template, so I can get to it there.  Most of the css is inline in the imported code, which I can't get at, but css for the iframe is in the scabbed code.  Looks like I can move the whole thing from iframe into a div, which is next thing I'll try.  May be able to do more with the thing that way.
