Title: No idea where to post this?!
Post by: Leipe Po on November 30, 2005, 09:04:26 AM
i have no idea to post this, so if its the wrong forum pleas send it to the right one,
think this is a intergration issue:

what i am trying to do is intergrate my scripts ife written into smf, so it becomes a part of smf,
you are probaly wondering why would you do that?
well, i hate corrupted databases, ands no ifficient use of things, ssi only look ineficient,

also i want it portable, that if i ever change hosts, it will work,
also i like to re-use code allready written, and since smf is a outstanding piece of forum software, i thought ill use it as a backbone,

the thing bothering me though is what it really needed to add a page?
things ife figured out for myself is:

changing that index.php doesnt load the /Sources/BoardIndex.php but /Sources/mainIndex.php,
the difine('SMF') part to protect pages,

using table prefixes, doing query's smf style( db_query(blabla) )

knowing that mainIndex.php also needs a mainIndex.template.php,

discoverd that the template files also needs a standard function, template_main()

what i want to know is if i have left anything out? sessions seem to work fine,
board seems functional,

also would somebody be so nice to share how i can add things to the breadcrums? cant seem to find the function

let me know if this isnt clear enough i try to explain more,

thanks in advance,
