Something was changes for sure.
Must be a block issue due to php changes...

You still can get into your admin section I assume?
https://scforum.info/index.php?action=admin

Try to deactivate all blocks in TinyPortal

Yes, it is posible to access Admin panel but it is not possible to open anything in Tinyportal and deactivate. :-/

Maybe some other sugestions?

Thank you.

Well, I suspect there are bigger issues. Just tried to access your forum with the 'noblocks' parameter, but it still breaks, which it should not. So it may not be caused by the blocks.

https://scforum.info/index.php?action=forum;noblocks

Best bet is that indeed you forum is running at a php version that is not suported.
I noticed on the login2 page (which is still working) that you are on TinyPortal 1.0, which is ancient and definately not supports modern PHP versions. What PHP version is your site ON?

Please investigate and specify:

1. Your SMF version
2. Your server's PHP version

Can you still access the package manager in SMF?
If so, you may try uninstalling TinyPortal in the package manager

Mind you: I cannot give you a complete path to a solution without knowing the (exact) SMF version and PHP version you are on

Why is it not possible to uninstall?

What errors do you get?

An Error Has Occurred!
This package cannot be uninstalled, because there is no uninstaller!

Please contact the mod author for more information.

Hmmm, have not worked with these old versions in ages.

Still believe the php version was changed. Do you have an option to downgrade to php 5.6 as a test?

I agree, for sure We doesn't changed anything... in the past We also doesn't have problem with hosting.

Maybe We're hacked?

I doubt it. If you were hacked a full backup would remove any hack.

It still gives the impression that php does not like something. Effectively you should see this in your server error logs..

I fail to believe your host.
That sort of error is almost always due to the host forcing a php upgrade...

You may need to do a clean set of 2.0.19 files and then reinstall modern versions of your mods

The number of hosts that swear no changes were made...

I'd be looking for the error log to see what's going on.

I was thinking the same: depends on how many mods you have installed.

At least that will get rid of the old TinyPortal version.

If you stay on SMF 2.0 you can install TP version 2.3.1. and you will still have your old content.

Try running phpinfo (attachted).

Post by: @rjen on August 14, 2024, 02:12:29 PM
Just an FYI: because I was curious I just installed a test SMF 2.0.18 forum on PHP 7.4.3.3.
Then installed TPv1107 and as I suspected: it is not compatible with PHP version 7.4.3.3...

I then went to the package manager and uninstalled the package without issues. So the standard package definately has a correct uninstaller...

I suspect that you installed TP a long time ago and updated SMF using the patches over and over again. Somewhere in the process the original TinyPortal package got corrupted or lost...

Uninstalling will become a pain, because that old version made multiple file edits. The new versions are all hooks..

So unless you go back to an older PHP version (I suspect you came from 5.6) it is probably better to go to a clean set of files 2.0.19 and run then upgrade. You will then have to reinstall all mods though...

I just noticed you went for the new set of files and new TinyPortal.

Site is back up...

Yes, after so much pain - as you announced in one of the previous posts... few time I crashed everything looking for solution and how to folow steps:

1. Upgrade to v. 2.0.19
2. Uninstaled old TinyPortal - the most dificult part
3. Instaled new v. 2.3.1

However site is now Up BUT that wasn't be possible without you folks - few times I thinked to give up and delete everything from server. :-/

I started this site few months before my first daughter is born (now she have 17), also have two more kids, daughter 7 and son 2... so last few years not so many time to work on the site but I'm really emotionaly conected with SCforum and SMF Community.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL ADVICES AND HELP:

- Sir Osis of Liver
- Kindred
- Arantor

& specially to You - @rjen for mentoring all day long

All the Best,

Sam
