Howdy all,
I'm pretty much new to the world of using forums and webcoding, err I'm from the graphics and layout world. So I'm an ultra n00b, can anyone point me to the right direction on the stuff I wish to accomplish. I've been browsing for weeks now in our forums and still I'm pretty much lost and kept circling around on tutorials on how things are done.
Okay here it goes the stuff I wished to do with SMF in my site:
- a template/normal page which has SMF login on the top or side, available on all pages
- pages which are static (ordinary html pages like contact, links page) but still has the SMF login on top or side and boxes with links to latest forum updates or threads
- and to add page comment (is it called threaded comment) on bottom of other pages for articles and news area
Well thats it, I think its simple I'm just lost in the vast knowledge that going around in this forum. And by the way most pages will contain flash menu, pictures and stuff.
Thank you in advance to all that will advise me in the right path to take.

I'll post a preview of my site when I'm near thru with the basics it'll be a SSI integrated/heavy graphics template and hope I can make it into a theme.
If you're gonna use SSI take a look at http://yourdomain.com/forum/ssi_examples.php where yourdomain.com/forum is the URL to your forum.
