Otsikko: Forum doesnt send a validation email in rc1.1
Kirjoitti: deathwantsme - joulukuu 07, 2005, 09:00:42 IP
My users do not get a validation email when they sign up. I have an email set up to be used by the forum, but they still do not get an email. I have asked them to check their junk/spam box and re send the validation email but they still do not get an activation email. Does anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it?

Maybe your smtp server is not working?
Try checking if you can send mails using php. (Also try sending mails from a smtp client to see if the smtp server works...)

:) You are using smtp to send mail using an yahoo free mail account?
It's impossible... because smtp is not available for free accounts on yahoo.
Why are you not using the php sendmail function? Are you on a free webhost and mail() is disabled?

Thats the set up webmaster adress. I assume that that is the email that a validation email is sent from.
