Sorry if any of these are duplicates. I searched first and it told me my parameters were too broad.
When you quote a post, it automatically puts the quote in the Quick Reply box: losing access to both Image Shack and Smileys. Quoted replies should default to the full reply.
When you get a pop-up notifying you of an instant message, clicking "ok" to view it rarely takes you directly to the pm. Clicking "yes" should always take you there from anywhere on the board.
Some things, like changing the colors of the board, should be provided with a simple interface directly on the board.
Add-ons should be universal. Once you've applied it, it should apply to every theme automatically.
There needs to be an admin option to mass pm or mass email all members of the board. With one click.
SMF is wonderful. I spent days trying out and researching boards before I decided on it. But, there are some simple things that aren't so simple on it. I like that we have a forum for pointing them out.

Just turn off quick reply. And then when people clicks to quote, it will directly go to the post page.
Or if you want to use it with quick reply open, open Display.template.php find and remove:
onclick="if (!currentSwap) doQuote(', $message['id'], '); else window.location.href = this.href; return false;"
Hopefully it will do what you ask for ;)

Right mouse click on Quote and "Open link in New Window"
will result in Full Reply form
even with the Quick Reply set to "show always"
by default.
Left mouse click on Quote button should not exclude the Quick Reply.
It is another approach that the features of Full Reply
could be accessed without additional screen refreshing.

When there are more than few items in a one topic
~with only one line for a list of subjects~
it is difficult to determine what the link should be -
either a grivitinik
or grivitoutik.
If You would like to get faster and better support
you should use a more descriptive subject line for each item !

Gri, the pop up pm box DOES pop up. It just doesn't take you to the message when you click "yes". Thanks for the tip on the Quick Reply. I'll try that first.
Sorry for putting so many subjects in one post , but I was afraid posting them all individually would look too much like flooding. I'll just have to budget out my requests. I'm best in small doses, anyway. ;)
Another tip is to change your QR to "show, off by default" then if you click quote it'll open in the full editing page. If you want to make a quick reply you can then click the arrow to show the QR box and off you go.
There is also the good ol' quote and then preview :)
I tried right clicking on the quote button to open in a new window. The smileys were available but, not Image Shack.
But, Mike, "show, off by default" should make everyone happy. I just have to tell them about it. Thanks!
