A simple, easy to use converter will be provided to enable the upgrade/conversion from yabb se to SMF.
Anyone who has any problems converting will be assisted to the best of our abilities.
In short the upgrade will be relatively painless :)

Yes, it does. It was the list [Unknown] gave as to how many converters (although he did say it was an incomplete list) will be available:
ikonboard
invision
phorum
phpbb2
vbulletin
wbb
xmb
yabble
yabb
yabb2 (if it's out before, which I doubt.)
yabbse (upgrade)
If you'll notice, YabbSE is on there. So neener neener. ;)

Would the upgrade be able to handle upgraded and modded forums or would it be a case of only converting the original SE 1.5.4 ?
The upgrade should work, but any data from the mods will not be utilised, though will remains so it would be upto the mod authors to update their mods to re-utilise the data in the database.
