Title: IPB > phpBB > SMF
Post by: Sword Master on December 31, 2005, 10:35:16 PM
Well it's kind of a long storry but I won't bother telling it all.

Basicaly I decided I wanted to update my Invision Power Board from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3. I was being um... dumb *caugh* and decided to delete everything in my ipb folder. I upload all the 2.1.3 files but somehow I messed up *caugh*. Anyways, I decided I didn't like IPB anyway and wanted SMF. Little did I know you needed a working version of ipb to convert. So I converted to phpBB, and then to SMF. Somewhere along the line all the passwords where lost?! My board is in maintenance mode so I can't seem to click "forgot password". Some help? Please.. :D

You could take it out of maintence mode by going into settings.php and changing the value.

You didn't really need a working IPB, just a conf_global.php :)
Although it seems users have been having problems with IPB 2.1 conversions?

Hey thanks guys! I edited the settings file and it's fixed. I just told all the users to click reset password link. ;D
