Post by: FiX on January 10, 2006, 04:54:07 PM
Could anyone help me convert my vbulletin 3.5.2 to SMf 1.0.5. When ever I try to convert is says this:

Notice: Undefined variable: dbname in /home/play/public_html/SMF/vbulletin3_to_smf.php on line 125

Notice: Undefined variable: tableprefix in /home/play/public_html/SMF/vbulletin3_to_smf.php on line 125

Converting...

I gave my vbulletin server access to my SMF but I am not quite sure how it knowsn what my server name is. I think it has to do with line 125 but I am not quite sure what I put. Could anyone help me?

You need to give the SMF user that you created access to the vB database.

The error MySQL gave was: No Database Selected

What do I do now?

It appears that the Convertor does not work with 3.5.2  Are you using the 1.1 convertor on 1.0.5?  If so you need to use it on 1.1 RC1.

Why wouldn't it work if it is for vbulletin 3? Isn't 3.5.2 vbulletin 3?

If I'm correct that converter is for early versions of 3.0.  3.5 not the same as 3.0 same as 1.1 not the same as 1.0.5
