Title: Custom Header Disappeared through Joomla link
Post by: FunCyber.com on January 15, 2006, 09:55:08 AM
Hi

Joomla : 1.0.5
SMF : RC2
Joomla smf bridge mod : Latest ( download & install it today only)

IN SMF ive inserted my custom header (include header.php file) & Footer ...

When i click www.funcyber.com/forum it shows Header & Footer.

But  when i log in to site (thru my id & password ) through joomla index & click any of the options

Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.

it gives link   http://www.funcyber.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=1&action=unread

which do not shows any header & footer.

My Forum is Unwrapped, & using Bridge registration

Please Check & Suggest !!

Good Day :)

this is an issue that is completely unrelated to the other one...  Start your own thread with issues so that it will get the attention it needs rather than trying to co-opt a thread about something different.

Also... don't start a topic in a thread AND post a new one...   one post is just fine...

And your problem is probably because you have multiple head and body tags as well as multiple CLOSING head, body AND *HTML* tags!

I'm surprised it works at all in ANY display.

Header/footer includes should *NOT* be full web pages in and of themselves. No <html></html>, no <head></head>, no <body></body>

The includes should just be additional TEXT that you want displayed the same across all pages. (look at joomla's footer.php for an example.
