Otsikko: Package manager doesn’t update language files
Kirjoitti: Anhinga - tammikuu 28, 2006, 01:13:21 IP
I've just updated my Simple Machines forum to version 1.0.6 using the package manager, since that seems to be the quickest and most efficient way of doing it.  However, I just noticed that some of the forum's language files are still using a version older than the current one—for example, Admin.french.php is still using version 1.0, even though the current version of that file is version 1.0.4.

My forum is English, so as far as functionality is concerned it doesn't make a difference that the package manager isn't updating these files.  However, I'd like to know whether there are any other reasons why it might be a problem that these language files aren't up-to-date.  For example, are the older versions a security threat?

Not sure if you had help or not but there is no problem with the ugprade package except that language upgrades are not included in any upgrade or update. They are something you have to upgrade yourself.
