Otsikko: RC2 problem when disabling guests access to the forum
Kirjoitti: keltiek - tammikuu 29, 2006, 09:47:42 IP
Hello,

My forum v1.1RC2 seems to have a bug when I unset the "Allow guests to browse the forum" parameter (in "Features and Options").
If I do so, on the first page, I need to register. When I click the Login button, I go to a wrong address. If I click the back button of my browser, I'm logged in the forum!

ex : from https://sitessl/forum/index.php, it will go to https://sitessl/index.php/, then when I hit the back button https://sitessl/forum/index.php

Is it a bug, or an error in my install ?

Interesting. Do you have any errors in your error log?

Have you tried repair_settings.php in the downloads section to check if all your paths are right?

I run a site which requires registration and I have yet to run into this problem :D

The problem is totally linked with the use of ssl.
I think there is a problem of redirection with https url when the called "action" is finished.

I have the same problem with the Ultimate Shoutbox mod. For exemple when I delete a shout, the calling url is good, but then I am redirected to a wrong url https://sitessl/index.php/? .

hmmm....

I've been using SSL with guest access disabled on a test site for a week or two and haven't had any issues. (unless you count the occasional and annoying "page contains secure and non-secure items" IE error message.)
