There are times when I want to find a very old post quickly. But, if I have hundreds or thousands of posts, that can be difficult to do when looking through the "Show Posts" page in my profile, as it shows the entire post of each post. Also, it's easy to forget when exactly I made the post and I can easily forget the title or relevant keywords to search for.
So, on top of the way it is now, I was wondering if there could a be a list of just the titles of the posts, preferebly sorted by date. I think this would make it much more easy to find the old posts, to just browse the titles and not have to worry about seeing the content and what that means to browsing the old posts.
Or if other options were available; show the entire post, show a brief summary, show just the title, etc. that could do the same thing, it'd be just as good, if not better.
isnt it easier to use search and fill in the persons nick in the by user field, than to scroll through all there posts manually?
I suppose that would be basically the same thing. It'd be easier to have the feature in the Profile area, considering the "Show Posts" page is there specifically to find all their posts.
But, as I said, if you can't remember the details of the post like the date or the subject or something, it would still be the same thing after you search for it, you'd still have to browse through the results. Besides, you still have to enter in a search term or two and that could potentially make you miss what you were looking for.
Though, if you want to go the search route, then what's even the point of having the "Show Posts" page at all? If it's just as effective to get all their messages from entering their nick into the search, then there doesn't even need to be a page that shows the user's posts. I'm basically just proposing an enhancement to that.
Any input on something like this being a feature?
