If you have SSI boardnews with a limit:

ssi_boardNews(3, 10, 0, 400)

and the quote tag is right on the limit the quote is not parsed or hidden. Instead it display the quote bbcode. e.g. it would display:


blahblah [quote="my....


Surely it should just not display the quote at all

/edit: It actually does not appear to be the quote tag causing this.

This is intentional to keep partial tags from breaking the HTML.

That sounds like a good idea

@huwnet: Like Thantos said, what if there is a [ quote ] tag before the limit, but the ending tag is after the limit? Then, there'd only be an opening tag (with no closing tag), and potentially,  the whole page will be inside that tag... :|)
