Hi. I'm very excited about the SSI.php function of this forum. I would like to post the recent posts to a specific board on a related site. I see the Recent Posts Function: <?php ssi_recentPosts(); ?> will probably get me half way there, but is there some what to limit the recent posts to that of a specific board?
I'm looking for this info too
Please look at ssi_examples.php and SSI.php. Also, read the SSI FAQs and search the forum for ssi_recentPosts.
to answer your question more specifically, yes... ssi_RecentPosts can be limited to specific boards by the function call...
Hey guys-
We respect you are experts at this stuff but we novices "trying" to learn.
We also respect the fact that you do this for free - and hugely appreciate that!
I have searched and searched and searched the forum for specifics on how to use these functions and found limited answers.
I have found posts that limit what is displayed by eliminating boards but is there a way to use this function to just show one board or one topic?
Doing this by specifying each board to NOT show means that every time a board is added, one has to edit this function.
Thanks...
Sorry, the function, as designed only limits the boards by exclusion, not inclusion.
As an alternative to SSI.php, try RSS. Read
this (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=25009.0) topic for details.
Lainaus käyttäjältä: OldiesmannRecent Posts (displays the most recent posts that you can see)
"Sub-action": recent
Default: Shows 5 most recent posts
Available options:
limit=x - display the "x" most recent posts (if number is less than 5, it will display 5. If number is larger than 255, it will display 255).
board=y - display only the recent posts from board "y"
Example: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=.xml;sa=recent;board=72;limit=10
