Title: Experiences with W2K-server
Post by: NV on August 14, 2003, 05:32:09 AM
Hi, I have a local test environment running Yabbse + Php + MySql using a W2K Server.
It runs rather smoothly and I want to use a similar setup for a live situation.

The only thing I can not test is, how this set up will behave when a lot strength will be put on it, many users simultaneously using the board.

Does any one has experiences with this setup in live situations?

The server has to be set up yet, but will be something like:

2400 Mhz P4 processor, 512Mb memory, ATA drives, the server will be colocated with an ISP, so I don't think the connection speed will be a bottle neck.

I expect to have max 40-50 simultaneuos connections / forum log ins.
