Otsikko: News Fader quirk?
Kirjoitti: jrcarr - helmikuu 18, 2006, 01:14:48 IP
I will try to explain this the best I can, but.....  :D

I wanted to have the "New Fader" showing on all pages instead of just the Board Index page.  So, I copied the New Fader section of script from the Boardindex.template.php file and pasted it into the index.template.php file.  This worked fine, except I had to go back and comment out the News fader in the boardindex.template.php file or I would end up with the News fader showing twice when the board index page was showing.

Now my problem.  If the overall page width is smaller or narrower than the board Index page and the length of the various News messages are different, then the whole page keeps adjusting in width as the News Fader changes news notices.  This doesn't happen as much if at all when you are in the forum itself, but if you are using the SSI.php as an include in any none forum pages, it can really be distracting.

I had to turn off the New Fader for now because of this.

I doubt I have explained this sufficiently, but if anyone else has seen or done this, you will know what I'm referring to here.  If necessary, I can turn the fader back on and include a link to a page that demonstrates what I'm trying explain here.   Thanks for any suggestions.
