Ok I'm starting an ecommrce site very small project and inside i wanted to have a forum for posible customers to ask questions about the company product shipping and so on....
anyways i really like SMF but i was wondring if i could turn of all features can be turned off
especially the info center and private messages.... almost every feature except posting....
is there a theme or skin in this kind of format for smf...
my customers are not so web savy thus i want to make it as easy as possble ...
what are your suggestions? and do you recommend smf for my needs... if so with what theme..? thanks in advance for your comments
This theme is named Core, and is default in 1.1 RC2.
I mean, that it`s very simple, but you can see this theme by Bloc:

you can also make your own modifications and themes.... the template system for SMF is not really that hard, and most of the information you are looking to dump is in "boardindex.template.php" (and probably some in display.template.php)

dont you think that there would be too many quarks if i was to modify it??
at the end is SMF the forum CMS i would wan to use
display.template.php handles the display of the messages, including all that information over to the left. If you want to keep that stuff, then no modifications are needed.
Boardindex.template.php handles the info center stuff....
