i hope this the right place, i tried to install mystic night theme and i got the following error. How to i solve this, im guessing i need chmod that script but wasnt sure which one, any help id be thankfull.
2: fopen(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 725 is not allowed to access /home/virtual/site221/fst/var/www/html/forum/Themes/Mystic_Night owned by uid 48

Because your host has Safe Mode enabled, you won't be able to install themes by uploading them through the Themes and Layout Settings area.
Create a new folder on your computer called "mystic_night" (or something similar - you probably won't be able to delete the other one), then extract all the files and folders from the archive to this newly created folder. Upload the entire folder to your Themes directory via FTP and use the "install from a directory" option to install the theme.
Safe Mode is a pain because it prevents scripts from accessing files and folders that aren't owned by the same user. The server is running as a different user (usually "nobody"), so any files it creates (ie files and folders created by scripts) will have a different user id as owner than files you upload via FTP.
Safe Mode in theory is useful because it prevents you from accessing files and folders owned by other users. However, in reality it is only useful when PHP is running as the individual user ("suexec"), which is not the case in most hosting environments.
If you want, you can attempt to convince your host to remove this annoying restriction. Tell them that if they need to prevent users from accessing files and folders that belong to other users, they should use open_basedir (http://www.php.net/features.safe_mode#open_basedir) instead. However, many hosts are convinced that Safe Mode is the only way to go and won't disable it, so you may have to find another host if you can't live with these restrictions.
I did as i was directed, however when i try to install the theme it installs yabb instead, any ideas ?
If I were you, I would try deleting the custom theme folder from /Themes
Then I would create a folder name Mystic_Night (yes exactly the same with actual)
Then chmoding this folder to 777 and installing the theme.
I bet it will work :)
