Title: Oxygen
Post by: Bloc on March 15, 2006, 11:38:19 AM
Link to the theme (https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?theme=2)

Oxygen is light-colored theme that should be easy to read and operate.The width can be changed in the admin section, and custom content added in a "box" which accepts html codes.

Title: How do I remove the Message Board Title from the theme?
Post by: Nefertirievy on April 16, 2006, 01:05:43 AM
Okay, so right now, for example, I'm using the "Oxygen" theme  by Bloc for my forums.  (GREAT ONES BTW!)  My question is, especially on any theme I might have, how would I go about removing the Boards name if I did not want it visible on the forum?

For example, heres my Phantom of the Opera Forum, using the Oxygen theme:
 http://angelsmusicofthenight.nefertirievy.bhxhost.com (http://angelsmusicofthenight.nefertirievy.bhxhost.com)
See how at the top, right beside the banner you see Music of The Night?  Thats what I want to get rid of.

I hope this is pretty clear, and thanks for the time guys!
Title: Some help with oxygen theme Please =)
Post by: saneiros on April 26, 2006, 10:28:43 PM
I have changed oxygen a lotta bit, just the colors mainly,

but I have some questions that I seem to need answers to.

1.  How do I change the background color of where the "back" images" show up?

If you are not sure what I mean by this please look at my site! http://www.poorpeoplesparty.org/freespeech

2. there is this white thing that goes up the side of my forum, I have no idea what it is or where it came from but when I right click on it, it says view image I click that and it takes me to the main site... need to get ride of that...

3. Also it would be awesome if some one could tell me how to add this header to the forums, yes I have read [unknown]'s tut on that but I cant seem to get the forum to agree with my divisions...

here is the html/php:
Quote<?php

echo' <html>
<head>

   <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
   <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us" />
   <meta name="robots" content="all" />
   <meta name="author" content="Shaun Aneiros" />
   <meta name="Copyright" content="" />
   <link href="../images/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

</head>
<body>
   <div id="wrap">

I could really use some help here!!!

Please any ideas on how to fix these things?
Title: Re: Oxygen

Its basically just html that you need to insert in the template.

As you have changed the theme that much I assume you know this already. Broken images - rightclick on it and find out what it is, then look in index.template and see where its at.

Hi all,

New here and am having some issues with the Oxygen theme.

I am running the current vers of the SMF forums and when I try and set the oxygen theme as default all is fine.

But when I go into the section to add some html code into the "Current Theme Settings area and post the code into the Top HTML Box and click save it just reverts back to the Normal Default theme.

The code I am trying to post is for another link bar pointing back to the site and other sections of the site.

THanks much in advance.

This sounds like an error you get from using a 1.0.8 version on a 1.1 forum - or vice versa. Sure you got the correct Oxygen version?

I'm a newbie here and I tried out this theme and really like it. But I haven't been able to figure out a way to access Private Messaging the way I can in the default theme, which uses a My Messages button.

Is there an easy way?

Details: SMF 1.1 RC3 with Oxygen11rc3.
I am trying to get a link back to my home site from within this theme.  I have entered the URL in under theme settings, as well as created an HTML link in the available block.  Finally, I looked through the themes.template.php to find the linkable area with no luck.

Can you please narrow my search for the area I need to use to create this linked ring between my site and forums?

Many thanks.

FYI...Love the easy look and feel of Oxygen.

Hi bloc, I like this theme and whant to traslate it to italian.
But before starting I like to know the name of the fonts that you used so I can traslate the buttons using the same font as your.

Then, afther that I've finished, if you are interessed I can send you the modified buttons and strings.

Cheers,
Angelo

I am using the 1.1 version - theres no error except for the banner at the top..

my banner is at 100px X 1024px - but it cuts my banner into 50px X 1024px...

anyway to edit the template or smth?, because on the 1.0.X version, it doesn't happen..

and the bbc icons all have a blue border around them like in a squarish form.

i liike this theme a lot, Bloc, but am getting so frustrated at the lack of info as to how to add custom nav buttons (e.g. Member List, Staff List,  Chat, Electrocute Random User, etc....)  Is it possible to provide a brief howto to cover the creation of the appropriate image files, and their incorporation into the style sheet to make them actaully show up and have a discernible effect?  this might very well prevent slaughter and mayhem amongst my coworkers, so consider it a genuine public service!!  ;)

thanks very much for all your work thruout TP, and all the themes, not just Oxygen.   you are a genious, and it is not unappreciated by us lesser mortals!

thanks.

Very nice theme, Bloc! Thank you for that! I have translated some things to Dutch, and this version is now running on www.hulpverleningsforum.nl (The text "Most online ever" was hardcoded in English, translated it to Dutch in the template file itself)

Just one thing I can't fix.... I want the numbers of the pages at the and of topics (like: << 1 2 3 >>) a littlebit bigger, its too small in the opinion of my forummembers, but I can't see where it is arranged in the style.css..... I tried to change the following part:

Quote/* Default font sizes: small (8pt), normal (10pt), and large (14pt). */
.smalltext
{
        font-size: x-small;
        font-family: Tahoma, arial, helvetica, serif;
}
.normaltext
{
        font-size: small;
}
.largetext
{
        font-size: large;
}

but these little numbers are not changing.....

Where can I change this?

Thank you!

The members who are using Firefox as browser, can see an error in showing pictures, sometimes the pictures seems to be too "big", they don't stop at the tableborders, see the following picture:

The small numbers have to be changed in the template..try finding "pageindex" inside MessageIndex.template and Display.template.

Also wondering about a 1.1.2 release... :)

Maybe someone can answer my question? I've used the Oxygen theme as the basis for my forum, but have tweaked the design elements extensively - will uploading a newer version of Oxygen wipe out custom code changes made to the index.template.php and display.template.php files?

The only reason I'm looking at a newer Oxygen version is because I get nothing but error messages when I go to my Themes and Layout settings from Admin:

Unable to load the 'reset_list' template.
Unable to load the 'list_themes' template.
Unable to load the 'edit_list' template.
Title: Re: Oxygen
Post by: bloc on March 05, 2007, 08:46:32 AM
It needs updating..and your edits will sadly be wiped.

For those errors though, try to temporarily rename Themes.template inside Oxygen to _Themes.template. You will not be able to change the current theme settings though.
Title: Re: Oxygen
Post by: WebWorm on March 08, 2007, 03:07:45 AM
Thanks, Bloc - the template is great - I'll just maybe have to do some massive cut and paste work to get it back to status quo, because I'd like to be able to change the current theme settings from admin.

I just installed the latest version of the template on SMF 1.1.4 and I was wondering how I can get the news fader to show only on the frontpage of the board and not also in the header area at the top?

Also, is there a quick tutorial on how to add tabs to the menu? I was able to add tabs to my other templates but I don't know where to start on Oxygen  ???

Thank you

ETA: I figured out the news fader part in the index.template *bangs head*

Bloc,

Love Oxygen, and but for one tiny problem I'd be using it right now; the difficulty in making the "main menu" textual buttons.

Any chance you can release an "A-Z" button that can be used to make any text button? I'm stuck right now for a "GALLERY" button because I've no reference button with a "Y" in it... (Made "CHAT" easily enough by chopping up other buttons...)

Please I need all the help I can get.
Title: Re: Oxygen
Post by: bloc on May 28, 2009, 06:08:56 AM
You don't need to..if you are using a mod for adsense you will simply fallback on default theme's Display.template - which will be modded and ready naturally.

On the other hand, if the adsense is not a mod, and you need to manually insert the codes: simply copy Display.template from default theme over to Oxygen folder and change that one.

I love this theme and it will break my heart if I'm forced to leave it.

I have been getting an error message(done, but with errors on the page) in internet explorer on topic view.

To see this error, visit: http://www.naijaclan.com/index.php/topic,33.0.html

This occurs only in the Oxygen theme. When I switch to another theme, or use another browser, there is no error.

I suspect it is the reason why my site is unstable in Internet Explorer. Many times, when I click on reply it closes internet explorer.

I'm using oxygen11final.zip in SMF 1.1.9

Please is there any help out there? Which file do i upload to help you trace out the error?
