Use subdomain independent cookies on
Problem: When Logged in if click:
- SMF logout button I am logged out of both
- Joomla logout button, I am logged out of joomla only!
When logged out:
- Login to joomla only logs into joomla.
- login to smf only logs into smf
- login to smf while logged into joomla cause joomla to logout.
- login to joomla while logged into smf keeps the smf login.
I am sure there are some other posts but the search kept saying I was to vague.
Thank you for the forum and bridge!

The Joomla logout button will NEVER log you out of SMF. NEVER. Don't use that button. It will NEVER work.

Normally, I don't have the login module published for joomla only for SMF.
It does seem to be working correctly from my work computer now though? Maybe I didn't clear out the cache at my home computer?
I will pm you later with the info if it is still not working at home.
Thank you for you help.
Now I am at home and the same problem exists:
Logging into smf does not log me into joomla.
I also have registration disabled in the joomla general config. When I click on register it says.

You are not authorized to view this resource.
You need to login.

I will pm you now.
Go to your Joomla admin panel. Click on Global Configuration.
What is the value for the field "Allow New User Registration" ?
I have the no button highlighted. That is the correct setting when using bridge registration, I think. Well, you tell me.
Since it works in one place (work computer within the same network) and it doesn't work at home does this imply that it is my settings (cookies, cache, etc..) at home?
** I just noticed it does not work (even at my work computer) with IE, I was using FF.
The new bridge is awesome by the way. My students have had zero problems getting there assignments off the website.
Thank you.

Bridge registration uses your Joomla registration settings. So, if you have "Allow New User Registration" set to "no", then new users will not be able to register.
Thank you I misunderstood the readme thread.
Any ideas about where i should look to fix the login stuff?
Thanks again.
Hmmmm.... now it's not sending out an activation email. Are you sure your Joomla email settings are right?

That is wierd because I received the email from joomal that a new member registered.
But now I only get one from Joomla and not SMF like I used to.
