Any idea on how to resolve this? My users are getting upset over all the errors.
im having the same error.. I posted here
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=80344.0
I commented out a few lines, and it removed those errors... not a fix, but a workaround I guess... Im not too slick with the coding, and althought my commenting out those lines removed the annoing errors, it may have broke sometheing else...
I will say again... randomly commenting out lines is NOT a fix and should NOT be done.
It looks like you may not have 1) included the corect absolute path in com_smf configuration. or 2) not added the code, as required, to the joomla template.
here is what I did to resolve. I uninstalled the modules/components and package in reverse order of installation. I got a failure on Subs.php on the SMF package, I manually deleted the changes that were implemented in mambo.mod.
I still received the errors
I just deleted the lines that were causing problems (I think they were added when I installed the wrong version...I was stupid for not reading everything first).
I reinstalled and 99% of functionality is back...the only problem I have is some of the text is missing on the logon module.
It also appears the cookie isnt setting
did you read the fact that joomla 1.0.8 requires a manual hack of MOS-SMF.php to deal with the change in the way joomla handles logins?
well, i don't have smf 1.1 so the changes don't affect me. my problem was actually simpler than i thought...since i screwed up and installed the wrong version, i had an extra mambots that was installed...uninstalled that and I am now golden again.
what does smf 1.1 have to do with adding code to MOS-SMF.php to make it work under joomla 1.0.8?
The bridge 3.19a requires a code hack!
going to all the posts the code that i'm supposed to alter doesnt exist in the mos_smf.php file. so am i to make up code and put it there? like i said it works now with what i did
