Otsikko: I'm probably being stupid but need some help here: Mainpage f*cked
Kirjoitti: slickrik - huhtikuu 11, 2006, 12:11:42 IP
Well hello there my fellow Mambo/SMF tinkerers :)

I'm currently using Mambo for the first time to build a website. I have some experience with SMF and when I read that I could integrate the two I just had to do so :)

I installed Mambo 4.5 on http://adh.glassbilen.net/rage/ and got it working like a charm.

Then I installed SMF 1.1 RC2 to http://adh.glassbilen.net/rage/forum/, also working as intended.

I downloaded the bridge 1.1.3 and installed it as a component in my Mambo admin, and see what happened to my frontpage http://adh.glassbilen.net/rage/  ::)

For a moment I thought this might be some kind of 'in-between' state untill I make the changes in my template index.php, but after adding the code there my whole frontpage just turned grey. I put back my original index.php file and removed the components and I still have a broken frontpage....

I'd really like to think I'm not being a ridiculously huge dumb-*ss now, but I'm probably just doing something very stupid.... All the help you guys could give me would be most welcome though :)

I'm using 4.5.3h and according to the readme you had to add some code if you were using Mambo, just not when you're using Joomla. I fixxed the problem btw: turns out I didn't add the path to my forum correctly.... Pretty dumb-ass thing to do really ;)
