SMF Version: SMF 1.0.6
Is this the best version to be on???? Is it the latest, because not very many mods are availble for this version..... if its not the latest.. How do i upgrade... Ps i dont want 1.0.7 (No mods available for it)
For security reasons, you need to upgrade to 1.0.7. Read the 1.0.7/RC2 upgrade thread on the news board.
I,d reither not upgrade to 1.0.7 because there are no mods. Any help???

There are plenty of posts that explain what RC2 is. Start by reading the release candidate thread on the news board.
Upgrading to RC2 means a lot of work. You must uninstall all of your mods, as 1.0.x mods will not work with RC2. You must research all mods to verify they are compatible with RC2, then install only the compatible mods. Mods can be a security risk, so you should always make sure that any mods you install won't open your site up to potential hackers. The same holds true for themes: only themes written for RC2 will work for RC2.
There are plenty of mods for 1.0.7
All mods for all the 1.0 series will work in 1.0.7 ;)
Some mods might not have been updated to say that they'll install on 1.0.7, if you already have mods you can upgrade to 1.0.7 through the admin center and you won't lose any of them. If you find a mod that you want, but it won't install on 1.0.7, yell at the mod author until they fix the issue ;)
