I am wondering if this is what is causing me issues with my password?
To upgrade to the next version of SMF you will need to have used either the update or upgrade package. Follow the instructions within the readme.html file included.
I didn't really understand your last point about your password?

As far as the last point goes. It seems at times that the board forgets my password when i go to log in. This applies to both the board and my admin panal.
BTW I did use the upgrade package.
Your upgrade was only up to RC2. There is another update, RC2-1, which you can perform via the package manager or by downloading the necessary files and uploading them yourself. Read the 1.0.7/RC2 update thread in the News board; the files are attached to the first post.

Geez perhaps my grammer really does suck.
Anyways i installed a FRESH RC2 and THEN tried doing the update but some files didnt update/upgrade.
I did the same, install a fresh SMF 1.1 RC2 and updated in the package manager the RC2 fix,
but 3 files are still out of date !
Why don´t you have as the download now the newest version inclusing all fixes ?
Why? Because this is a release candidate, which is a beta version. If you run a beta version, it's your responsibility to keep up on minor code changes, security fixes, etc, because a beta isn't repackaged and re-released simply because of one change. That's the nature of a beta.
If the package manager update didn't work, visit the thread I talked about earlier and do a manual upgrade.
Usually the packages on this site are updated to include the latest security/bug fixes like those, but it seems that it didn't happen that way this time.
Yes,but why does the RC2 fix
not work in the package manager ?
It installed okay, but the 3 files were still outdated !
Regards, Stefan.
P.S: Don´t you allow JPEG image attachments over here in this board ?
The package manager upgrade worked for me. Every server is configured differently, so it's hard to say why it didn't work for you.
Regarding attachments: the ability to upload depends on the group you are in. Your group cannot upload.
