SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
I've just recently installed SMF 1.1 RC2 to my board, and it's telling me about some security risk with that version. Of course I then download the Upgrade from that version. Now the problem starts whenI upgrade it.
What exactly do I do? Do I just upload the Upgrade files to the same folder the RC2 files were in?
I'm very sorry is this question was answered before, but I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks in Advance,
Veko
go to admin
look for Version Information:
and click on (more detailed)
is anything in it red?
If no your fine
If yes run upgrade.php this will sort it (if you have installed the new files into your Sources Directory or used the Package Manager) :)
the update sorts a few files in the Sources directory
If indeed you need to update as Sloopz mentions above you can just install the patch from within your SMF admin panel.

So pretty much all I need to do is download the upgrade files, and upload them to the same folder as my current SMF Files are? Then run upgrade.php.
Actually its not even that complex. There should be a link to automatically install this patch for you. Just click on the link telling you about the patch from within your admin panel.
Of course I've tried that but it gives me this error:
550 Can't change directory to /forums: No such file or directory
Strange. Follow the topic I posted and ftp the updated files then.
