I've had a look with no joy of an answer.
When running rc1 on an older bridge the address would change in the mambo wrapper when different topics and posts were viewed, just like viewing SMF directly. (with the post/topic/board ID in the address)
However since updating to rc2 and the new bridge the URL stays fixed as http://rckingdom.co.uk/mam/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=164 (http://rckingdom.co.uk/mam/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=164) and doesn't change when different topics, posts and boards, meaning specific topics and so on can't be linked too.
Is there any way around this?

You are not supposed to use the Joomla wrapper component with the bridge. Use the bridge component instead of the wrapper component.

Sorry to barge in on someone else's thread but how would you use the bridge component when linking a menu item to my coppermine install rather than to some content item? When I try to make a menu item on the mainmenu it doesn't give the bridge component as a choice on Joomla only the wrapper component.
I don't understand how Coppermine fits into this... ???
Oh maybe its just my addled brain. I saw you say not to use the com_wrapper which I use to wrap my coppermine on my site. Just ignore me then. ;D
I mean, don't use the com_wrapper to open SMF. There really is no purpose to that when there is a com_smf that does a much better job. Iframes are nasty, nasty things.
