Hello :)

I've just moved my forum from phpBB to SMF. Script convert.php works really fine !  :P

I was testing the reminder password script but it doesn't work : I receive a mail containing the URL to click to get a new password. (Here is the link : http://www.histwar.com/forum/index.php=3Faction=3Dreminder;sa=3Dsetpassword;u=3D3;code=3D531c4116d3)
but it doesn't work and I get a 404 error page.

I use 1.1RC2. I don't know where to look to correct this, as I even don't have any knowledge in php ;)

Anyone can help ? This problem is a BIG problem 'cause during the transfer, some of my users seem to have lost their password and they can't connect to the forum :(

I would have to look deeper into the first issue but to resolve the problems of members fogotten passwords you could always reset the password from your admin panel and send them a PM or email them a new one.

To complete my question, I would add that when I receive an e-mail to notify for a new answear to a topic, we have the same problem : strange URL

(http://www.histwar.com/forum/index.php=3Ftopic=3D1606.new;topicseen#new)

But, I might find where the problem come from : encoding character. Please look at the mail I receive :

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

D'autres r=C3=A9ponses peuvent avoir =C3=A9t=C3=A9 post=C3=A9es entre temps, mais vous ne recevrez pas d'autre notification tant que vous ne lirez pas ce fil de discussion.

I'm ok.

I find a solution for encoding character by running this command in phpmyadmin :

INSERT INTO smf_settings (variable, value) VALUES ('disableQuotedPrintable', '1');

Now, URL are fine :)

PS : But I still have this

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

at the top of the mail... can't find how to resolve it

Ok for my 2d problem too ;)

I use SMTP to send mail and it's ok :)
