Grudge,
I found an older post were you expressed interest in developing a mod that would allow for all posts to have to be approved by a moderator. Is this still something you are developing? I have a new customer who could really use it, and this is the only reason they are not considering SMF (which I want them to use). They love everything else.
If so, is it close? They would be candidate for a commercial mod if it is released that way.
Thanks,
GRAM
sg3524,
There are some previously released mods (Originally by myself) called "Post Moderation" which added this functionality, but not very integrated. I am hoping to get this feature into the next release of SMF (i.e after 1.1) but this is a long way away from a public release I'm afraid.
Check out the mod board to see what's available - I'm sure there are some moderation things. The problem is I don't have time to support my old mods (It's hard enough to find the time to code for SMF!) so I wouldn't be able to assist in getting them working - but you may be able to get help from the community.
Grudge
Thanks!
I will check out the mods. I did not find anything that looked interesting for 1.1RC2, but perhaps an older mod can be modified to work. If so, maybe what I have learned about the SMF codebase over the last few months will be sufficient to get the job done :)
Thanks again,
GRAM
Bump...I am very curious to this one. :)
Just setup the "Visual Warning mod", and turn the user to a "Moderated group" (Note: You will have 2 errors when installing this mod, and you must edit the "packageinfo.xml" file in order to get this to work, but those 2 errors must be incredibly minor, as I have seen no problems when using this mod).
How to edit PackageInfo.xml: Find the: <install *dot dot dot* , 1.1> then add in: , 1.1.1
Find the: <uninstall *dot dot dot* , 1.1> then add in: , 1.1.1
Good luck :P

This is still schedule to be in the next SMF version after the 1.1 series.
You can use the method suggested by coldfx for now. If you'd rather not edit mod files you can just add ;version_emulate=1.1 to the package manager URL
