Any chance of getting that for members that are problems? Another name for this i believe is called mod preview.
In short a moderator has to approve topics and posts posted by whatever member is on mod preview.
This is not currently available nor is there a mod for it.
However it is in the roadmap for the next version of SMF ;)

Yes, infact, there is a mod that you can use.... It's a Visual Warning Mod..... basically it has 4 stages:
1. Warning
2. Post Moderation
3. Mute
4. Bann
I use it on my forums and there hasn't been any problems yet.... I think Post Moderation is what you want. Link:
