Otsikko: Failed to open stream error preventing upgrade to 1.07
Kirjoitti: jonblazn - huhtikuu 30, 2006, 11:34:08 IP
I just attempted to upgrade my SMF site from v1.06 to 1.07 and I keep getting the following error:

Lainaa2: copy(/home/mysite/public_html/forum/Sources/QueryString.php~): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home3/mysite/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 1307

Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks-

Admin>Package Manager> [ Installation Options ] > Create Backup versions of replaced files with a (~) on the end of their names.  (Uncheck that).

Thanks for the fast reply however now I'm getting this error:

2: fopen(/home/mysite/public_html/forum/Packages/installed.list): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home3/mysite/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 1476

Make sure you have the /Sources folder chmodded to 777. Try to chmod the file /Sources/Subs-Package.php to 777 also.

Change it back when you are finished though.

Create a blank file called installed.list, put it in the Packages directory and chmod it to 666. This is the file SMF uses to keep track of which mods you have installed.

Thanks. After I recieved my last posted error I went back to the admin page and noticed that my site appeared to be updated. Hopefully this is really the case. Thanks for the help.
