SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
Ok, so I have looked, and looked, and looked, and failed to see where it is that I can change the persmisions of the directories.
I did do a search for this topic, I did look through several posts, but again, I didn't find a post where my issues was clearly defined or provided with a solution.
I am trying to upload smileys, that are on my local workstation, using browse.
I am providing a code, and a descritpion, and then pressing "save changes".
Then I get this error:
"The following smiley directories are not writable: default, classic"
I'm sure I'm completely missing what is wrong, and for that I apologize.
I appreciate any and all help.
many thanks

CHMOD Smileys, Smileys/classic and Smileys/default to 777.
Hi, thanks for the quick response.
The only problem is that I don't have a clue what you're talking about.
How does 777 come into play?
"CHMOD" ?
Sorry/Thanks!
Use your ftp client to access the folder and right click the folder. Change the properties of the folder from what it currently is to 777.
Alright, so CHMOD represents permission, great, thanks!
That I can do and it's been taken care of.
Thanks for the lesson and the help!
