Not without reading the source code.
If any mods did have backdoors we would remove them as it would allow your site to be compromised

What do you mean?
If you are concerned about the security of a mod, if it is downloaded from the SMF site it has to be apporved by the team. If you're getting it from sombody else you'd have to look at the source.
