Otsikko: Mods applied but not displayed in list
Kirjoitti: kovacs - toukokuu 05, 2006, 07:36:26 AP
SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
Hey guys, I'm new here. I run a large vBulletin forum but we're trying out SMF for a new community we are starting.

I have installed SMF 1.0.7 and upgraded it to 1.1RC2. All seems to be working fine.

I can download mods and apply them. They pass the test, and I click "Apply" (or whatever it says) and SMF reports that it has installed the mod.

But in the list of installed packages, it says "No mods installed". The mods are still listed in the Package manager with "Apply mod - list files - delete" links.

I am not sure what's happening here - I have verified that file permissions are correct etc.

(BTW I am on a dedicated server running CentOS 4, Apache 2.0.42, PHP 4.3.9, MySQL 4.1.12, 1GB RAM)

Any help is appreciated.

I should add that I have installed several themes without problems, and also the tinyportal for testing, without problems. Yet no mods are installed according to my package manager. :)

Ah...the error log showed what was wrong. I had chmodded the categories but not the files below, they were still unwritable. Sorted!!! :)
