Could I ask how to change / or upload one of those great new templates / themes to my forum.

download the theme in the zip file.
Go to your forum,
Admin > Themes and Settings > Then upload it into the upload box. Click upload and you are done.

Thanks guys for your help, it looks like I'm unable to browse from this page. I have this message:
Warning - you cannot create or install a new theme as your themes directory is not currently writable!

You need to change the Themes folder permissions to 777, with your FTP.
