I tried to submit some of my recent themes but none get approved. Is my theme really that bad to get rejected or am i doing something wrong ? :(
As of today its only one submission in the queue now.
As a rule however, don't expect a theme to get approved right away. There is a testing step before that happens.
Theme Submission seems to take a while on SMF.
I understand that it does take time to check throught every theme,
but I did ask Bloc when wondering about one of my submissions if they needed any help and I didn't get an answer (although I do most of the time!).
/me thinks about a third-party theme site.
Can you give some previews to it.
I would like to see them.
I remembered submitting my Aura theme and BGStyles some weeks ago but it does not get approved. I tried submitting my theshadow theme yesterday. Usually how long do we have to wait ? Whenever I submit the themes, it takes a while to submit and process the request.
p.s I am not using dial up, I am using broadband.
Nesianstyles, approving is restricted to staff only, so its really not possible to help out without being one. :)
pangolin123, I am not sure what happended, but do try again, and I keep a lookout for them. I know I haven't rejected any of them at least.
Bloc, this mayt not be fully plausable as you are volunteers but couldnt you set like a time frame for themes like up to 48 hours after submission then the author will know, alsoa notification to the author saying if its been approved or rejected.

That's ok.
Was just wondering about it.
Thats a good idea.
It would be better if some kind of notification was sent.
Notification will be considered, but setting a time-frame for these things will not work.
What happens after 48 hours then..? If no-one haven't reviewed it won't get any faster done just because its a time-frame there. Its not a quality check, its a security check.
Yes, as Bloc pointed out its a security check. The downside of the SMF template system being so powerful is that it enables people to insert malicious code into a theme. Although this is really rare (for myself I can say that I have never come past such an issue), still the themes submitted must be checked throughly for the users' own good.
