Hi there, im kinda new to SMF so bear with me please.
OK our forums and everything is setup and working nicely. (http://www.combat-maximus.com (http://www.combat-maximus.com))
I wanted to add the Awards Mod (http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=313) to provide a visual representation of users participation.
Used the Package manager to download it, and then clicked 'Apply Mod' gave me this error:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
Visited the downloads section found out it is only compatible with 1.1.RC2
Im having trouble confirming what version the forums is actually on, firstly the copyright at the bottom states its 'Powered by SMF 1.0.7', however in Package Manager it also states that the 'SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update' is already installed.
Basically I want the forums to be at 1.1.RC2 but im not sure if this already installed, so how can i check to find out what version it is on?
PS I did not do the installation/upgrades of the forums which is why im scratching my head:)
The version is displayed on the main admin page. After visiting your site, I can guarantee you are using 1.0.7.
That was quick:) Thanks for that I take it i need to use the "SMF 1.1.rc2 upgrade" package to upgrade to 1.1.RC2? or is it the "SMF 1.1.rc2 update" package?
Use the update package.
'SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update' is actually a security update for 1.0.7 and 1.1RC2, it doesnt update you from 1.0.7 to 1.1RC2. You will need to download the update package from the downloads page.
