Hi all

I know very little coding so maybe this is happening bcoz of a silly error of mine --- this is usually the case --- any help will be appreciated.

Im trying to setup SMF 1.1 RC2 on my local machine and everything goes fine. But when I log into admin and try to access the Configuration links I get errors like this

When I click on Features and Options

LainaaAn Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'edit_post_settings' template.

When I click on server settings

LainaaAn Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'show_settings' template.

On Current theme when I click on Modify the index template. (the main template)

LainaaAn Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'edit_browse' template.

I then downloaded and installed SMF 1.0.7 and it works perfectly.

Could anyone maybe take a guess as to why this is happening with 1.1RC2

Two possibilities I can think of now:
All the files weren't correctly uploaded/unzipped
You were using a 1.0 theme in 1.1?

hehe...simplicity (http://themes.simplemachines.org/index.php?lemma=10)

had just switched the theme to default and come back to post that im back in action when I saw your reply.

too bad, really liked that theme and wanted to play around with it.

Also, could you point me to some sort of a tutorial on creating themes for SMF if one is available.

Edit: Just downloaded the version for 1.1, cool...
