Ran a quick search and didn't see what I wanted, so if another thread deals with this issue, please just point me to it. I'm new here and almost as new to coding.
My whole site has a common css file and I was hoping it would be possible to create a new theme without having to go back through the whole css file and moving all the valid css for a forum theme by hand. Is this even possible? Is there a spiffy way to be able to import the css from the rest of the site to coordinate the forum with the site? Or do I need to write off a relatively large chunk of my day to handcoding a new theme, which I may or may not be able to do successfully...?
Also, if I will have to hand-code the theme file, can I use a CSS editor? It looks like I could, but being as somehow I've lost my CSS editor since I wrote my site, I'd have to redownload it and I don't want to make the effort if it's going to be for naught.
Thanks a bunch for any help - I might sound retarded, but it's really just good acting. I hope.

just add a new <link> tag to the CSS of your site. You can run both, but remember that what comes last get's preference...
