Yea, this bridge doesnt work with 1.0.9.
Im still having problem on my test server...even in the admin panel there are problems. And I started with a fresh install of both the forum and 1.0.9 and bridge.
Please come out with a working one oristo.
(here is a screenie of the admin panel problem: http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/9829/smfconfig9at.jpg ) and because of that, I cant change the path. So, the homepage doesnt work...ive tried the mod too.

I'm not sure why you are bothering with the registration component config when it is identical to the tab in the bridge config... The path to SMF is in the bridge config, not in the registration config.
I'll see what I can do to fix that, however. It won't affect the functionality of anything, just the look of that page, which is redundant.
Hm, yea I guess I did take the wrong screenshot. Well, heres why. When I click the actual Config part ( Components>SMF Bridge>Configuration) I get a file not found error. "The requested URL /administrator/install.php was not found on this server."
So for some reason, its looking for an install.php file....not sure why though.
There is something very wrong there then.
This is a clean installation of Joomla and SMF?
And you are certain that you completed the installation of SMF before trying to bridge it?
Check everything again theslam2006.
Appart from a old module that I think does not work with 1.0.9, everything seems to work fine with Joomla 1.0.9 and bridge 1.14 (smf.php patched with Orstio code), both in my test server and live site.
I have checked in the admin panel, and I d'ont have the error in smf config that you see in your site.
Hmm. Alright, will try a reinstall. Im pretty sure I uploaded everything fully though...
UPDATE: Hm, alright it looks as though maybe I had old files or something. I redownloaded 1.0.9, smf 1.1rc2, and the bridge files. Did a full clean install on the cms and the forum, and looks like thats all fixed now.
There are still small problems that do need fixing, small Undefined variable problems, and yea I did the smf.php edit on p.9. ( Pic one: http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/1600/undefindedvariable18kx.jpg Pic Two: http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/1399/undefindedvariable25yg.jpg )
Do anyone else see these? Or am I again the only one and did something wrong...
Are you certain you finished installing SMF? There is more to installing SMF than uploading the files...
^^Updated.
And it seems on my test site im still having same problems as last night. Im logged in as admin, I made the polls have registered access only, and as I said on the last page, for my main site, I cant see it. Im logged in, but anything I put to registered i cant see.
Im glad im testing this here then on my main site. ptvideo, are you having these same problems? I have been since yesterday...
And you have now made this change to smf.php?

Yes. The full edit as it was posted.
You are aware of the case sensitivity issue? TheSlam2006 is not the same as theslam2006 ?

Everyone is viewed as a guest, even when they login with case correct (which is another annoying issue) they are still viewed as a guest. Something went wrong, and im trying to go back to 1.0.8 now.
As you can see, I understand that issue.
Thanks for tryin though. Just wish someone else would chirp up and say if they are having these kinds of problems too. Then you would know if its a true problem or if maybe I just messed up somwhere along the line.
And its joomlaroot>components>com_smf>smf.php correct?
LainaaAnd its joomlaroot>components>com_smf>smf.php correct?
Yes.
Can I see a URL?
Heh, I would give one of I wasnt on localhost.
I will setup a subdomain. test.thecompletets.com and I will install there, and do the testing on that. It will take a while for the upload to fully complete, so watch this post. Or the url. It will hopefully be done soon.
EDIT: I couldnt get the sub-domain to work right. So its now www.thecompletets.com/test2 at the time of this post I only have Joomla 1.0.9 uploaded. Doing the forum right now. Will be done very shortly.
Alright, I guess something went wrong that I didnt know about yesterday. Still have no idea what it was.
And it must not work right on a localhost.
I installed everything, and its working good I think. I made somethings registered only, and I can see them when logging in. I will try it on my main site again, hopefully it wont mess up again.
theslam2006 I think the problem is in your php.ini and apache web server config of your local server because me too have the same issue, and sure is it, in a remote server PHP 4.4.2 with the optimal configuration and auto chmod on the webserver works great whitout problems.
