Spikey
Name: Spikey
Date Created: 05 June 2006

Extra: More Information (http://www.wonderforum.com/2006/12/28/spikey-theme-for-smf-111/)

I've been working on this all of today, so I hope it will get a few good comments. The header took most of the time, as the colours could just be done using CSS, which I am growing more fond of (At the start I really hated CSS..... long story :P)

I know the buttons are the exact same as the default template, but if you want nicer ones, do it yourself :P There are far too many of them to do manually and I simply don't have the energy to do it. If someone wants to create some for this template, please post in here and I will give you credit on the template.

I hope you all like this template and of course feel free to use it on any of your websites. You can use any of the graphics I have made for the template and the style and theme for other templates but please let me know before you publish it. There aren't any really strict copyrights on this but please be curtious if you use it and give me a little credit.

UPDATES:
06 June 2006 - The headers buttons and menu buttons did not work properly on FireFox so I had to adjust some of the code.
09 June 2006 - I have included a set of buttons so they look well with the theme, and not just the default ones

Thanks :)

Yeah I was thinking of doing some antialiasing with the header buttons, but I wanted to leave them customizable for the user, so I made them pure text so you can change it in the template files.

If anyone really wanted antialiasing text it would be easy enough to convert the images to add some text in PhotoShop or something ;)

I think your theme is awesome! Thanks :)

I have just 1 small problem - the inline links (breadcrumb/treelink) are broken. They aren't linked. How can I fix this?

Edit: I see the ones on your Demo do work, so maybe it's not your theme. I just can't figure how to get them working. Can anybody help?

Add me to MSN [email protected] or ask on my forum for more support :)

You'll need to tell me the addres of your site, and point out (preferably by screenshot) where the problem actually is :)

This theme looks good on the picture Mark, but I don't see the live version in the demo link.

Is there actually a live demo version for this theme?

:)

The team is very nice. Thanks!

Is it possible to remove everything above "Hello, username, you have x new messages"? I mean the header and the buttons. I want to replace those with my own banner, but when I do that in the administrator panel, the new banner only gets included in the "blue wave", if you know what I mean.

Hi! I love the theme the colors and styles. I got rid of the header as I have it integrated into my joomla site.
Now i need to adjust the width but i cannot find out how. i tried adding a width value where it says "body" in the style.css but that only affected my overall joomla site width and not the forum... could some body help me maybe?

Why can't I expand "who's online" footer?

The "+" button doesn't work. IE7 reports of an error in line 179: 'current_header_ic' not defined or something like this!

1) also, is there a way I can request that you make another button that can lead directly back to the main page? (the website, not forum)

2) and how can I get rid of the word "The Spikey Template" up on top?

3) The add-poll button while logged in as admin isn't showing up as being in the button.  It's just showing up as text
