Sorry if this question has been answered or posted before. Just recently used phpBB forum on my hosting site (as it was an option to install with no effort - click link and it installs run immediately).
Since then I have downloaded and managed to install SMF along with creating the SQL databases successfully and installing a theme.
Needless to say I love SMF now its running, and am now going to switch over including copying messages etc. Brilliant package!
How easy it to remove the default ones so they dont appear in the drop down options and other profile menus/options to the user cant access these. I want to restrict it to the theme I have installed and also any new ones I add. I know you can set it so it always uses the admin default one, but I would like to remove the others from even appearing on the lists.
From the admin panel, delete the other themes you don't want. But DON'T delete default theme (you can't delete it from admin panel, and don't attempt to delete it using FTP.)
Then, go to Admin > Themes and Layout > Allow members to select the "Default" theme. (uncheck)
So they will be unable to select it.
