Otsikko: Upgraded SM Forum -- Pretty much working....
Kirjoitti: kriskd - kesäkuu 14, 2006, 08:36:06 IP
I upgraded my SuperMod forum today and with the help of various posts here, it was successful.  However, the strangest thing is happening.  After sitting on my message board URL for a short bit, out of no where I get a 404 Not Found error with the following message:

Not Found

The requested URL /board/< was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I thought it may have to do with mod security and tried this fix (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=34270.0) to no avail.  Any ideas here?

Have you enabled Search Engine Optimized URLs? If so, disable them. Go to Admin -> Features and options, there's an option to disable it over there.

Thanks for the tip, Aaron.  I do not have that enabled.

My message board sat at the board index just fine all last night, but now I had it on Features and Options per your suggestion and it jumped to this error page.  ???

Could you provide a link to your forum please?

www.restonheights.com/board

It's in maintenance mode at the moment until I sort a few things out.  I could probably grant admin access so someone could take a look, but it would have to be over the weekend when I have a bit more time.

It appears my problem was related to the template.  I switched over to a standard SMF template that came with the upgrade instead of using the one the upgrade package attempted to convert and everything is running smoothly now!
