I tried this on RC2 and it comes up with this when I go to install it

Installing this package will perform the following actions:
Type Action Description
1. Execute Code phatcalpack_v0.9b_i_db.php
2. Execute Modification - Modification parse error

then when I click proceed it comes up with this:

Fatal error: packageinstall(): Failed opening required '/home/disciple/public_html/forum/Packages/temp/phatcalpack_v0.9b_i_db.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/disciple/public_html/forum/Sources/Packages.php on line 437

please help as I think this would be a great mod

this mod has not yet been updated to th erecent release.  At this time I don't know if I'll get another update before SMF 1.0 Final is released.  Most likely not.

I hope you'll keep updating this mod in the future, it has great functionality. Unfortunately I can't install it because I run RC2.

Is there a plan to upgrade it for SMF 1 final?

I am also very interested in this mod for 1.0 final.

I would like to know though, how the attendees list works. Does anybody have any screenshots for this? or an explanation?

I could really use this mod on a few of the boards I've setup.
Any hopes of getting an SMF 1.0 version?

I have a question on the 'Force Default Board' feature.  I assume default board is the 'primary' board of the user.  Is this correct?  Also, is this only forced from the calendar post page or is it enforced for normal posts (posts initiated from a forum, not the calendar)?

I am looking for a feature or mod that would allow me to restrict posts of events to the calendar  to the posters primary forum.

Thanks Jim

the "Force Default Board" feature simply extends the "Default Board" selection that already exists.  Standard caleldar setup allows for the admin to select the board that is pre-selected when a user goes to post an event.  This mod simply adds a check box to force that selection.  On the Post event screen, it simply replaces that board selection drop-down with a display of the admin selected board.  The freshly created event will be posted in that board.  It also will remove the "link to calendar" button in all other boards.

I am hoping to get this updated to SMF 1.0 in the coming weeks.

I really need the Event Attendees List feature.  Just something that integrates with SMF to allow members to say if they will be attending an event or not and a list of them shown somewhere.

Wah - I'll just add my "I need it too!" to the ever-growing list of people that would like it- just to make sure my thought counts!! :)

This is what i've been looking for for about 6 months!! :) - Any ideas when it will be updated?  Or am I better off starting to write the functionality myself?

Thanks for top code so far :)

Adam.

@ Jack.R.Abbit

First off, let me say: This mod is brilliant!

I've tested it on my laptop and it's marvellous! Something I deffinitely need for our Team's forum...

Second: Please upgrade it to the aktual version once you can find the Time to do so, it would be greately appreciated!

Third:
QuoteIt will be... but I've got other things in the queue ahead of it

Mind to give us an Idea of what that might be?

I know this hasn't been updated to the latest version but is there a way to install just part of the mod?

I only really need the "Allow Post No Topic" bit and am wondering if that part alone will work with 1.0.3

I've just tried this with 1.0.3, and it failed. I then tried it with 1.0.2 with the notion I'd try upgrading to 1.0.3 afterwards, but it still failed. I get the error: Modification parse error. This happened for both versions, unmodded, and using the default template.

Is this project dead?
I'd like to use this Calendar Pack with new versions of SMF.

well, about 1/2 of the pack is alreayd incorporated into 1.1 as standard...

and I took over the mod (since it seemed dead) for 1.0.3+
(There is another thread around here with a 1.0.x release of the mod)

for the ical/vcal and attendees....   like all my other mods, I will hopefully be releasing an update around the end of the month.

Great. Hopefully there is "Event attendees list" -feature incorporated. I think that it would be great functionality that forum users can join to events and event organizer (and other attendees) will see clearly who are attending event.

For example non-professional sports team, like football team;

There is event at calendar: "Game 01.01.2006 15:00 at Stadium 1"
Everyone at "team member" -group could easily click "I'm coming" OR "I can't come". It's pretty easy to track attendees and try to reach those who haven't answered yet.

celt,

attendees is not a standard feature in 1.1.

I am working on getting it updated for 1.1... but I may just wait until the RC release..

I've searched few weeks for forum software which includes (or can be modified to include) calendar software with events. And especially with events which can be joined by users in certain group. Still haven't found. I guess i'll have to learn SMF API and do one of my own ;-)

celt...  didn't you read...

The update version of Jack's pack, which I made for 1.0.3 - 1.0.5 has attendees....

I will be updating it for SMF 1.1 once we get an official RC release...

Like many others on here. I have been looking for integrated module like this for a message board that we use help schedule events for our organization.

How much further along are you in redoing the package??

Thanks in advance.

Hey!

GREAT mod! I love the attendee list!

How can I add this to another theme?

The attendee list only shows up on the default theme.

Thanks plenty!

Has event attendee functionality been incorporated into any calendar or event related mods?

It would seem this one is "dead".
